Dragonflies and Honeycombs!

A few days warm, a few days in the deep freeze, a few inches of snow - if you don't like this winter, wait a day and it will be different. But if you are dreaming of summer, of lazy days and warm evenings, of buzzing beads, er, bees, and zipping, hovering dragonflies over a still pond - then dream on with these:
A new selection of Czech-made glass buttons. These buttons are made in the classic Czech style and method, and in some cases, with molds and presses that have been in use for generations! The colours and finishes are more spectacular now, however.
And they are spectacular - from Dragonflies to flowers to abstract designs! You can use them as a focal point, on a stiff backing, for instance, and work rows of beads around it for a stunning bezeled look, you could make a silver setting and mount them like a gemstone, or use them as a big button closure on a bracelet, using a loop of small beads to slip over the button to complete the clasp. Anyway you use them, you are going to get compliments!




Honeycomb beads - more of these lovely honeycomb beads that fit together like pieces of a puzzle. The kind of puzzle where all the pieces fit together easily. Like, not a hard puzzle. ;-)

You can stitch them in rows into wide cuffs - their two-hole design really makes this easy - or design something more elaborate.














And if that doesn't ring your bell - then maybe you need to put a ring on it. A really huge ring. Like - 50 mm. (about 2 inches - if you haven't really made the conversion yet.) These big metal rings could be beaded over, or made into a pendant with charms or beads hanging - or ... well, you tell us!

So, we'll just hunker down and wait for spring, hiding in our beady places, making lovely things and dreaming of summer. The best thing about winter is all the quiet time to be creative!
